Mass Incarceration is Too Real

The John Howard Association (JHA) independently monitors correctional facilities, policies and practices, and advances reforms needed to achieve a fair, humane and effective criminal justice system in Illinois.

JHA’s vision for Illinois is to achieve a smaller, rehabilitative criminal justice system that supports incarcerated individuals so they may return to society as productive citizens.

Kellie Mann, an elected board member for Companions Journeying Together, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is providing a forum to personally impact the emotional, spiritual, and social lives of the incarcerated and their families. Our vision is for a society that lives by the principles of restorative justice.

Ms Mann will showcase these organizations and mine collective energy to harvest real impact.
