Due to sociological factors and norms, a trend of underrepresentation has been persistent within the areas of Science Fiction. Focusing on short stories, novels, comics, and films with an Afrofuturistic core, this panel aims to show how African American characters are viewed and represented across media.
Starting with the Golden Age of Science Fiction in 1938, this panel aims to create an Afrofuturistic timeline from years past to current.
