The water crisis in Flint is part of a history of environmental racism targeting African American communities. From air pollution to toxic dumping, environmental racism has killed and is killing our people. Flint residents Dr. Kent Key, and activists Marseille Allen and Nayyirah Shariff will provide raw, first-hand narrative of the impact of the Flint Water crisis and how the people of Flint are mobilizing to protect their families. Attendees will learn tools to identify environmental racism affecting their communities and what to do about it.
